Mobile App for Receiving Podcasts and Audeliver.com

The aim of this thesis is to implement a mobile application for receiving podcasts from Audeliver service. It is using modern graphic design for user interface based on Material Design. The application provides automatic synchronization of podcasts and downloading of newest episodes. All information about all episodes are  saved into the Realm database. Individual chapters explain theoretical information about podcasts and developing of applications for Android platform. The other chapters describe design, testing, and implementation of the MyPodcasts application.
Presentation of the Czech Presidency 2022 in the Council of the EU in the selected political podcasts

The research is of interest in the media presentation of the second presidency of the Czech Republic in the Council of the European Union in selected Czech podcasts. Special attention is paid to podcasts focusing directly on events in the European Union during the Czech Presidency in the second half of 2022. Specifically, the thesis analyses the podcast of Czech radio Český rozhlas Bruselské chlebíčky, the podcast of the Deník.cz Evropa pro Čechy and the podcast of the news website Euractiv.cz Europa zblízka. It focuses on media coverage of podcast topics and actors and deals generally with the structure and processing of episodes of individual media with an emphasis on the specifics of the media format. It also offers a comprehensive overview of podcasting and provides basic information about the European Union and the Presidency. Media presentation is processed using content analysis and frame analysis. The aim of the thesis is, among other things, to determine what aspects connect the individual podcasts and what makes them different. Generation Z czech podcasters

The bachelor thesis Czech Generation Z podcasters deals with podcasting and Czech Generation Z podcasters. In the theoretical part, the phenomenon of podcasting is defined, followed by a summary of the history and podcasting development abroad with an emphasis on the United States and the Czech Republic. The theoretical part also introduces the basic characteristics of Generation Z and the relationship of this generation to media use and podcasting. The methodological section presents the main research questions that explore the motivations of Czech Generation Z podcasters to start podcasting, motivations for continuing with podcasting as well as aspects of the creation that these creators evaluate positively and negatively. Other behaviors of the Czech Generation Z podcast creators in the online media space are also examined. The bachelor thesis is based on qualitative research conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with 14 participants The interviews are analysed using thematic analysis. Production Process of Art Podcasts in Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with Czech podcasts focused on visual arts. The first part of the thesis introduces podcasting and mapps the state of the local podcasting scene. In this part, basic terms related to the topic are explained. The second part of the thesis is focused on quantitative content analysis of the selected podcasts. The analysis will answer the question of similarities in the content - what format is usually used, what is the most common topic and to which topics are given the most space. The analysis will be accompanied with the additional part which will be based on five interviews with podcasters. Besides other things, the interviews will help us to understand the actual process of creating a podcast and thus will help to interpret the results of the content analysis.
Methods of narration in czech podcasts

This thesis focuses on methods of narration in czech podcasts. It contains an analysis of podcast formats in the form of drama podcast and documentary podcast in the context of the Czech podcast scene. The main goal of the paper is to define both of these genres, characterize their features and evaluate the ways in which they tell stories. A total of twelve podcasts were selected for analysis, on which the methods of narration will be examined. The selected podcasts are Zkouškový, Stopař, Neklid, Rozchod, Rituál, Hrana, Hranice násilí, Zhasni!, Svatebky, Základka, Pohřešovaná a Anatomie strachu, which will be analyzed on the basis of audionarratological analysis, which is based on verbal and non-verbal signs in the context of the audio medium. The results of the analysis of drama podcasts show that in their case sound design is very important. Primarily in the form of musical undertones and sound effects revealing other levels of storytelling. In all cases, their intention is to provide an authentic experience and build an attractive environment for listeners. The usage of narrative techniques in Czech news podcasts

The diploma thesis is devoted to the analysis of the Czech scene of news podcasts, with a focus on their categorization and analysis of the narratives used. In news, they play the role of tools, thanks to which it is possible to use the technique and structures known from the literature, and thus create more attractive content for the audience. The work is divided into two main parts. In the theoretical introduction, the terms podcast and podcasting are defined. Podcasting is, for this work, defined as a medium that is suitable for the distribution of audio content via RSS channels. This is followed by a presentation of selected foreign studies that lay the theoretical foundation for the practical part of the work. To fulfill the objectives of the work, the practical part of the work is divided into quantitative analysis and content analysis of narratives. First, popular Czech news podcasts and their producers are categorized using quantitative analysis. Subsequently, attention is paid to a detailed analysis of narratives in selected news podcasts with a focus on identifying narrative techniques and their influence on the form of news content.

Through a podcast series of three recordings, this bachelor's thesis deals with products that originated in Czechoslovakia between 1945 and 1989 and are still being produced or reproduced today. These are products that are generally known and mostly popular among the inhabitants of the Czech Republic, so even today they have a fixed place in the society and they are not just historical objects that could fall into oblivion. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the phenomenon of podcasting, especially its history, along with its significance in today's world, and outlines certain differences between podcasts and radio broadcasting. Furthermore, this section presents in detail the procedures and methods used in creating the entire podcast series, along with its detailed presentation. The practical part is the series itself called Classic with three approximately ten-minute podcast works that describe individual Czechoslovak products. This bachelor thesis explores the phenomenon of intimate and sexual topics inside the podcast praxis in Czech media. Theoretical part explains the creation and the development of podcasting and the Czech approach to it. Furthermore it tries to briefly clarify the creators' motivations, meaning and the level of popularity of sexual themes in podcast and audio content in general. It also tries to explain the aspects that differentiate or correspond with the traditional radio broadcast, such as creative and topical freedom originating from the convergence of media or the specific of intimacy towards the listener inside the radio. Practical part consists of a podcast - a radio programme. Podcast presents the most relevant podcast shows on the theme of intimacy, sex and relationships in Czech media environment. It also reflects on the purpose of existence of these podcast shows through interviews with respondents from the radio and science branch.

This bachelor thesis is devoted to podcasting, which is one of the latest phenomena that occured in the traditional media and also in our society. It describes the origins, the development and the characteristics of this phenomenon and it also focuses on the motivation of the listeners and the producers. The research part is focused on the point of view which the professional or independent authors and owners of the podcasts studios have on the importance of podcasts in the media, content monetization or current state of Czech podcasts industry. As a part of this research, I interviewed seventeen podcasters or professionals in this area. Last but not least, the research part includes a survey which explores the age and demographic structure of podcast listeners and also their habits and opinions about podcasting. In the end, the thesis foreshadows the possible future of podcasting and also points out the opinions, which the respective producers have on podcasts.
